             Ulani's first impression to everyone is that she is cocky, she likes to be sarcastic jokingly and can say some smart things unintentionally or purposely. With this confidence she is undeniably flirty when around handsome men and women, almost as if it's in her nature. Ulani has some negative points to this confidence though, she is stubborn and might step over boundaries she shouldn't step, it takes her a while to understand what she is doing but if you tell her to stop she will step back. Ulani's mood never drops, the woman just always has a smile on her face and can lighten someone's mood with humerous teases and jokes. 

Though Ulani is care free, she does have her lines and is not afraid to step up to someone if they are crossing them. She is a fighter, she always was. Though most of these traits may make her seem childish and naive, Ulani works with her age and is very mature. She's seen things, a lot of things she's still technically too young for. Ulani is also an expert at hiding her true feelings from people, which causes a side of her to be mysterious.


       ► H I S T O R Y
         
     Ulani was the first born of her family, being treated as such with love and care. Though it was a poor house, her parents weren't young but they weren't old either. Ulani was a surprise but she was a loved blessing, atleast when she was younger. As she reached puberty though her parents took a turn, pregnant again. But something about the way they reacted, they were excited.. but they were excited for the wrong reasons.. and Ulani saw that.. even if she was only three. Growing up with her new baby sister was everything to Lani, her precious pure white baby sister that cooed and smiled at everything. Ulani was the only one that really gave her sister any affection, her parents.. were confusingly distant to the child.. so she did most of the affection. Until the parents realized this..Sylvia was only four and Ulani seven when the parents took Ulani away and had her live in a different house. A smaller one.. that was more like a shed than a real house. But Ulani didn't complain.. not even for the lack of Sylvia. Afraid to upset her parents.
Ulani raised up in that small home, almost always alone except for when one of her parents visit during the middays to check up on her. Ulani became independant early, and her favorite pass time was to practice her cooking. Her parents in exchange for her patience and no questions would give her many of the ingrediants from their gardens, though little it was, Ulani had many food books with recipes and somehow was able to make herself a different meal every night for years to come.
It was a single night, Ulani was age fifteen and stayed up past her bed time. Her parents decided to visit Ulani together just for the night, as they had a friend in the main house watching Sylvia. Training the albino late at night to be ready at all hours. Her parents had stayed up, looking at their eldest daughter's work of the house. It was much more suitable for living, and there were still thoroughly cooked meals preserved. She over heard her parents' strained arguements, her mother was doubting her intentions for their youngest when their eldest became so successful.. but her father argued and told her that they needed to survive for their already daughter in proof with how good she is. Selling the child to slavery when they were old enough was their only choice, that kind of money would help them..they were already deep into it anyway. They trained Sylvia for everything, and they never showed affection to her.. not even once.

Ulani was disgusted and horrified by this, she never understood why she was kept away from her sister. But she didn't know she was completely repressed that Sylvia didn't even remember her. And the poor girl being sold to slavery. Ulani argued with her parents all through the night, all the way until they left and went back to the main house. Ulani was so furious, and oblivious she didn't realize she should've followed them back. She had forgotten the address long ago.. and her parents had kept it from her. God knows how far they truly lived away from where Ulani was. 

But how could she continue living as if none of it had happened? She couldn't... she wouldn't. She was mature enough, she would be sixteen in a month. She would be able to get a job no problem with her cooking skills, either way.. she wasn't living in that shack anymore. Be used by her parents like a life support, like a money maker. She wouldn't sit and watch as her baby sister would be sold away to slavery like a tool. 

Ulani ran away from home, she left far away- so far away she went out of Barda. The place she used to call her home, her life, and moved all the way to Silka. Where she became a chef assistant to a local restaurant, she first lived inside a family's barn. By their welcome, she did chores for them and they paid her a small amount every week. It was a job, and a roof over her head. It was brief anyway, a year after she started as an assistant she routed up and became a chef herself. She could make multiple amount of meals with so many ingrediants, she made a new name for herself in the local area. She got a job at a newly built local tavern, the founder saw her as his own daughter as he never had children and was too old to start and helped her get on her feet. Built her a home, made her the head chef of his tavern. Ulani turned her back to her past, though the ache of not knowing what happened to her beautiful baby sister haunts her to this day.
