:bulletyellow:Personality: Larissa is very kind to people, she likes to help out and greets others with a smile. Though when she gets to know somebody a bit she can be quite flirtatious, it comes as a natural to her so if someone gets upset about it she'll apologize instantly. She likes to read, spend her time in a garden helping the plants grow [It's also where she'll go if she needs to think about something]. Singing is a hobby of hers, she doesn't care who really hears her specifically...as long as they don't show that they heard it.

Larissa can be sarcastic at times, it's usually just in a joking playful way though.

Larissa hates anybody putting abuse to nature, or littering. It angers her easily, and she'll throw your trash right back at you. Mostly in potions class, if they have to use plants for anything she'll hesitate but she'll be obediant calming herself by saying the little plants are being used for a purpose. Be rude to her, she dares you.

:bulletblack:Character's Background:

It was the year 1819, a strong and healthy Redbud tree blossomed. A height of 13 feet, with large thick branches that spread out into the cooling air to reach the warm rays of sun. Fresh air of the New France was crisp and cooling on the hazel brown bark, within the large spread meadow it grew, other trees lined as the forest bordered to a spread out opening.
That opening was a village coming to rise, it wasn't large, it wasn't a kingdom. It was just a small settling for people to live in peace, for travelers to take a stop by to rest from their journeys.
This Redbud was always curious about the humans, but much older and much larger trees where infront of her and blocked her view. They were quite loud too, and noisy with disapproval of the human ways. So the young tree made friends with many young birds as they placed their nests on her branches. The youngins would tell the young tree all about the humans and their lifestyles. Whatever dramatic happened or if a happy ceremony that humans called weddings occurred. Soon enough, the old trees in front of her were chopped down to be used to create more homes for the villages. The Redbud was never worried or scared about being chopped, to know she is important to these beautiful living creatures was all she would dream for.
As time passed and it became 1823, she was 25 foot. Strong and beautiful, with bright red leaves that glistened with luster by the sun's rays. The growing tree met a young beautiful spirit, the spirit wished to become a part of the tree. Their minds would form together, and a new body would be created by the Redbud's bark to have it's own will. The Redbud tree herself would be in the body, but the actual tree would instead become her home and shelter.
This form was created.
Cercis, a young dryad just created not long, ran from her new home to explore. She stayed by the border of the forest, but watched with her own eyes as humans walked around their homes as they did their work. Chatting and laughing, washing clothes or selling foods. Strange foods, she only recognized the apples since there was an apple tree not long ago.

Then suddenly..she saw him.

A beautiful human with black choppy hair and eyes that swam brighter than the sunniest blue sky, his chin was broad with rough hair. She rustled her own fingertips through her long red hair, it matched her crimson leaves. She blushed, completely infatuated by this man. She had taken a step while she unknowingly continued to follow him from behind the trees, when she accidentally snapped a fallen twig, the man had turned to see what the noise was and she instantly hid. Mostly because the elder tree she stood behind snapped at her to.
"Why must I be kept hidden? I am no harm to these people, I am most curious!", young Cercis cried to the tree.
"To show yourself to these people will create chaos, they will not love you or cherish you as you crave. To show your form is to go against the forest, your home. Go against your home, you will die.", It had replied.

And so, Cercis kept watch secretly behind trees, continuous to daydream and gaze with love to her infatuation.

Her watching continued for many more years, till it was 1830, many things have happened over the nine years. Many horrible memories she may not forget. Humans were beautiful and elegant, but also barbaric and grotesque. They would tie innocent people to large trimmed trees and burn them, and cheer as the human cried in pain. Or they would use rope, and hang humans by their necks on elder trees. Cercis was always horrified by both, but couldn't tell which was worse, as they both pained the humans and took time before they were freed from their horrid last moments of their lives and greeted by death with a gentle embrace.

Cercis didn't understand why were these humans doing this to eachother..not even feeling slight remorse that they killed a beautiful being without a second thought. Though she was glad, her precious human she has always gazed upon was never harmed in such way. His perfect structure was never grasped or treated harshly by others, and his smile...his smile...sent warm feelings through everyone.

A couple more years passed, a cool night of 1832, the stars glistened in the dark silky night sky. It was around time Cercis got back to her tree to rest, the red sun had already settled and she needed to make sure she woke up early to see the humans again. As her back was facing the border of the village, her mind racing with fresh new memories of her dearest beloved. He was walking around with an elder more wrinkly human, she was very kind looking and had the same blue eyes as Cercis's love. He was so gentle to this human, treating her with care and love. It almost made Cercis jealous, but she came to realize this was a different love to what she felt to her human. She would have yet to understand that feeling. One day.

Suddenly, as she kept walking to her tree, before she could react soft but quick thumps came ahead from behind her. Her head had turned slightly but suddenly she had hit the ground with something heavy on top of her, the touch was strange. It couldn't have been a deer or any wild animal. Their skin was soft to the touch, and the breathing was irregular. When she opened her eyes to see what was on top of her, she froze stiffly as she saw that it was....
him.

He was right there on top of her, staring at her with large confused blue eyes. Only a minute had passed before he scurried off of her and landed on his bum, kicking himself a bit away as he breathed heavily. Had he been running?

Cercis slowly got up, raising her hands and shook her head as she slowly approached him. He had relaxed, she looked normal just with green skin and leaves for clothes...fairly normal. Cercis sat on the ground in front of him, and they began to converse. Yes, Cercis knew english. She learned it from studying the humans for so long. She tried not to show her infatuation too much, but it became harder the more she knew about him. They were laughing, talking about the human lifestyle or the wonders of nature. How even the smallest leaf makes a big deal.
"Why were thou running in thy forest?", she asked softly. "Thou pace was fast and uneven, was something chasing?"
"No, thy love, nothing was chasing thee.", he replied with a gentle smile till he paused. He looked at the ground and whispered, "Though something will when time comes."

He wouldn't explain anything else, but they still talked a lot..and Cercis had come to learn his name. It was a wonderous name. A name.. she would never forget. Never. The night had became darker, and soon Cercis could tell her young human was starting to grow tired. So she told him to come to her, opening her arms. As he responded, she held him close in a warm loving embrace. His head rested against her chest tiredly, and she sang softly to him. He closed his eyes and listened, lifting one large hand he rested it over one of hers. Whispering gently to her.

"I love you, Cercis. Thou is glad thy met on this cool autumn night where the stars are pinholes in the darkest silk blanket of the heavens."

The morning sun was bright and warm, but to Cercis it would never shine brightly to her again. For the day, did she not know, would be the worst day of her life. Before either her or her beloved awoke, more humans had begun treading through the forest with thick sticks of wood that made loud noises and thick clouds of fog from it's point. Cercis had heard the sounds of more humans coming, and the trees around her told her she had to hide, but she didn't want to leave her love behind. Though, she must not go against the forest any more than she already had, so she let him lay down on the ground gently and ran to her tree, climbing it's branches and blending in with her bark.

She hadn't thought these humans would harm him, they were always so gentle to him with smiles that she believed they were perhaps just worried for him and wanted to bring him home. So her eyes widened with horror when she saw the men grab at him, yelling horrific words and curses, the women through rocks at him. Tears falling from their eyes as they screamed betrayel. Instead of bringing him back to the village, they all just began to surround him and tie his hands. Cercis had enough, she was going to escape her tree and help him, but she couldn't move. She wasn't scared, but instead her home refused to let her free, she tried to yell but her voice refused to work.

Suddenly, an elder group approached them holding books in their hands. They pointed their fingers and claimed that he was a witch, having been the cause for his own mother's death as she died suddenly without any plausible signs of illness or brittle age. They also claimed from being a witch, he must've been the one to have brought bad luck and misfortune on many other families in the village.

The only plausible punishment was for him to be put to death by hanging.

One of the elders waved their hands at their younger villagers, hurrying them to find a strong tree that will make sure when he was hanged that he never touches the ground again. A young boy scurried off taking the task, running passed trees seeing many had weak branches that wouldn't be capable of holding the dead weight of an adult male.

Then the boy caught eye of a healthy, 25 foot Redbud tree. With thick branches that spread out into the cooling air to reach the warm rays of sun.

Cecris watched in horror as they brought her love to her, tied in ropes and bleeding from scrapes of the thrown rocks. One woman approached holding a wooden chair, settling it under one of her large branches, the young boy that brought these people to Cecris tossed a rope over the branch. Tugging it on one hand he began to lift the other side, to her dismay and panicked stomach. She saw the noose. The rope was tightened and tied to the branch, so the noose wouldn't fall off even if it wanted to by any kind of weight.

This couldn't be happening. Not to her beloved, he never had hurt anyone. Laid a finger on anyone. Why are they going to kill him so horribly? No, please oh god no.

They forced him to stand on the chair, one tall male that was holding him down wrapped the noose around her love's neck and fastened it. Jokingly murmuring, "Nice and snug."

Cecris wanted to scream, hurt that man for joking and smiling at this time. She wanted to get her dear out of that horrid killing rope, hug him close and promise him no one will ever hurt him..touch him this way. But her tree wouldn't let her free, no matter how much she cried and sobbed and begged. She watched.

A young little girl took hold of the chair, she couldn't have been farther from twelve years old.

She pulled the chair off from under his feet, and he began to dangle.

His face, his gasps for air with those sad distraught eyes. Was too painful to look at, his eyebrows were furrowing. His neck was flexing as it tried to reject the type clenching rope. His elbows twitched as he tried to free his tied hands, and his legs twitched and shook trying to find ground.

But it never did.

It seemed like hours that Cercis sat there, listening to the struggles of a slow painful death she could now not cease or quiet. His cut off cries and attempt to call for the one person he knows would love him till the very end was fading, slowing down and become more and more unaudible till finally..they stopped.

By then the villagers were already gone, they had walked back to their homes, leaving him for dead.

.
The bright pink flowers that bloomed on the Redbud's branches, curled tightly together turning a hideous brown color. Their stems turned weak, and soon fell to the ground with no life in them anymore, the tree was wilting. Crumbling to become nothing but a small baby plant oncemore. It recoiled, Cercis sitting still on her home would begin to wilt as well, shrinking to become one with her tree to erase memories that she had built over time so that she could grow to become new. Unsoiled or laced with dread, but happy and a virgin to the world...

She will not remember his death, she will not remember his small crooked smile. Or the way he whispered to her. She will not remember his black soft hair that rustled gently to her touch. The way his hand carassed her own. Or that he loved her.

She will not remember those sky blue eyes, that enveloped her in this loving warm gaze. Those two pools she could've swam in forever.
.
.
.
.
She would remember his name...his dear..sweet name.

It was year 2004, the Redbud tree had grown to become anew again. Reaching the height of 22 feet, with stronger branches then before. All the hung bodies in that single forest of Canada had been long put to rest and been kept quiet, as they were not wanting to scare any attractions or their children.
Cercis opened her eyes again, blinking as she looked around. She smiled as she smelled the fresh air, and hopped off of her home and looked around.
"What a lovely little meadow this is...I better get to know the area."
.
.
It wasn't till 2013 that she had become aware of Monster Academy, she was more knowledgeable on human ways surely..but not like before. She is young. Still learning...learning many things.
